Not many people know the curse of RPG games, some may say they do because they play one particular game over and over again…but Jesus Christ I think I’ve played one too many. Its been a good 3 years since I last played IWD, so I installed it today and wham I couldn’t stop, just finished paying it at 11:32…that’s almost 12 hrs straight of that goddamn game, I didn’t even feel the need to go to the bathroom. And NOW I remember why I stopped playing RPGs (Mr. B is quite familiar with this addiction). Here is Emil’s Dictionary Definition of RPGs:
So you sitting in front of your computer thinking of what to do…and then you hear Asheron’s Call drawing you into a RPG. However once you cross Baldur’s Gate and enter the RPG world there is no turning back. Sure youll stop in a while, but you soon Fallout of the real world and put yourself into mental Exile. But that’s ok! You’ve got your RPG to entertain you all day. Your room echos with sounds of Dungeons and Dragons, Wizards and Warriors. You fight with all your Might & Magic to stop but the RPG draws you in and you feel the Betrayal at Krondor as an Icewind Dale sweeps your spine creating a Heart of Winter in you. You say, ‘This is my Ultima quest, after it I will stop! Well… Dues Ex more wont hurt…’ Youre sure that it is the Final Fantasy, but nonetheless it goes on and on for EverQuest after quest. RPG’s are the work of Diablo! There is no end. Do not let yourself be drawn into these Dark Ages, for the games Neverend, and you will not escape the Fate of Hellfire!
